The universe is a dangerous place. U of C Astrophysicist Dr. Jeroen Stil will uncover celestial phenomena that 'go bump in the night'. Find out just how safe our little blue planet really is and how far away the danger lies.

In the Sky - A great time to observe Jupiter and its moons, also Uranus will be at its closest of the year.

Come and view the moon through one of our telescopes and participate in International Observe the Moon Night

View celestial objects through our telescopes, including the 1.8 metre ARCT, one of the largest telescopes in Canada. See our asteroid hunting and comet chasing ‘Baker Nunn’ telescope. We also have a robotic telescope called the “Clark-Milone,” which will be open for viewing. Our observing terrace features an array of telescopes operated by University of Calgary astronomers and by members of the Royal Astronomical Society, Calgary Centre, and the Telus World of Science. Loads of opportunities to learn about the sky and see planets and stars!
Cost - $20 per car, all proceeds to educational programming.
