The Calgary Highland Games features dancing, piping, drumming, soccer and traditional Socttish heavy events such as hammer throwing and the famous caber toss. There are also sheep dog demonstrations, a kilted race for charity, kids' games, Scottish food, craft and gift vendors, clan displays and a Robbie Burns recital.
Is your name Scottish? Come along and have a wee chat with some of the many Clan members who will be in attendance. Find out what your tartan looks like or, better still, why not wear your kilt?
The event will be held this year at a new location - the Foothills Athletic Park. The park is located between University Drive and Crowchild Trail adjacent to McMahon Stadium. The park is accessible by C-train or if you drive, there is plenty of parking.
