Grave Gala - Shadows of the Night

Calgary Opera’s Grave Gala has become a signature fundraising event attracting Halloween party-goers from every walk of life. Food, tarot card reading, a cast of characters, costume prizes and non-stop dancing to the infamous DJ Thunder add to the evening of ogling alter egos in outlandish costumes.

Each year, a different haunting theme takes over Hotel Arts just for the occasion. This year we visit the seedy side of the Parisian nightlife that enthralled artists Toulouse Lautrec and Vincent Van Gogh with Shadows of the Night. For the event our pink-haired muse has been reborn yet again, this time as a dashing gentleman of the dark Montmartre underbelly, complete with top hat and cape.
